Check ou tinformation on Vancouver in British COlumbia Canada. It is supposed to be amazingly beautiful there, if your into pretty nature scenes. Not sure where you are located, and if your wife is covering or not. For covering females, I think its a waste to go to the islands (super hot) or beach resots because covering hijabi ladies would not be able to enjoy.

Try San Francisco and drive down Rt. 1 - the Big Sur, its also nice. Or spend a few days in LA, do the sight seeing, relax in a nice hotel, and then go off to Catalina Islands for a day or 2. You can only take a boat/ship/ferry into the Islands, and its pretty nice there as well, its a small secluded little island.
