That's why I didn't raise issue with the article itself. I raised issue with TM's initial post about AIDS and your support of it.
I care about Islam. I don't care for those people who think that their interpretation of it is solid and must be followed by everyone else. Islam is about submission, a search for truth, and gaining knowledge. If we are not always searching to learn more, if we concentrate on forcing and terrorizing others rather than improving ouselves, then we as Muslims are in a lot of trouble.
ahan i understand ur point but u no by saving some 1 from homo is also a progress towards a building good islamic society..media has really changed our boys atitude ..masturbation is really a ccommon common think now and also sorry to say gay is spreading tooo not in really a high quantity but still we need to look for tht...infact every 1 of us should our character.....also homosexual is totally unnatural thingy so it is no where allowed in islam and man offcourse if something is haram then there r some laws to control tht thingy..m i wrong???

So people believe that "saving" someone is killing them or causing them suffering so that they don't sin any more?
The danger of that philosophy is that it shows a lack of faith in man and in Allah. How do we know that that human being cannot and will not change? How do we know that s/he isn't going to be the strongest advocate of Islam? And even if s/he doesn't become a strong Muslim, how do we know that s/he isn't a good person? How do we know that s/he won't do something that will benefit mankind -- or something that will help one single person?
Good-bad is not as simple as black-white. There is more complexity to humans and to life, and if we deny that, we will not be able to help anyone, especially ourselves.
Avoiding cruelty does not = advocating homosexuality.
However, unnecessarily being unkind and torturing people who don't threaten your life or liberty is never allowed.
