Holy.....

Re: Holy…

“Holy” means sacred… “Holy Jesus” does NOT mean/translate to “Son of God”, but “sacred Jesus”

How is saying “Holy Jesus” any different from saying “Prophet Isa عليه السلام‎ *ʿalayhi s-salām” ?
*

The title “Jesus Christ” comes from the Greek word “Cristos” which literally means “annointed”…that still doesn’t mean “Son of God”

Re: Holy…

acha just tell me why christians say Holy Jesus ??? what’s their thinking and belief ?? why they call a Prophet who is not present on the Earth ??

while in Quran it is clearly written " Aur tum murdoon ko suna nahi sakte, pas unse baatein naa kiya karo aur Qabron pe mat roya karo"

and christianity is based on this belief that Either the Jesus is Son of God or He is the God NAUZUBILLAH…

kesa lagega agar me kisi cheez ko dekh ker bajaye SUBHANALLAH kehne ke kahun “Hazrat Issa” and if you disagree then keep using

Holy Jesus means son of God, then what about holy cow, holy water and such?

Re: Holy…

^ I have already explained about holy cow

and holy water.. who dont know abt it … the sacred water from church thingy…

Re: Holy…

I am merely pointing out to you the EXACT meanings of the words…-and holy Jesus does NOT mean “SON OF GOD”

Like Sehrysh said earlier, the niyat and intention and in what context the words are used counts for much more.

Hazrat Isa (as) was a holy man. Does saying that make me Christian?

When Christians start their prayer and profess their belief in the Holy Trinity (Hazrat Isa (as) taking on three forms…the father, the son and the holy ghost) yes, that is a religious statement and that is shirk…but that is not what we are discussing here.

And on that note, here in the Deep South, we say “Holy Smokes!” a lot…what does that mean? That I’m worshiping smoke/fire now? Am I a closet Zoraostrian now? :hmmm:

Re: Holy…

Thou shalt not take thy Lord’s name in vain :fraudia:

Re: Holy…

hmmm I guess niyat could be good but cursing is SIN…

Holy Jesus as in charistianity means Holy = sacred…Jesus = God/son of God according to catholic or protestant **NAUZUBILLAH **

No saying Hazrat Isaa (AS) is not a sin… but the question is why you need to say Holy Jesus ?? you preaching, discussing, etc ??? :5:

@ your note: the inhabitants where you lives dont know about Parda,Dupatta,Islam,Imaan,Mehram/Naa-Mehram,Zina,Good or Bad…even they do money saving on clothes :omg: they are liberal to do or say anything…

and their community is far from religion… so this is where **Imaan **jumps in… we cant oblige our culture/religion onto them but can perform with our way while Keeping in mind that ALLAH is watching us & always with us … aur ye **Imaan **hi hai… Meera ki phupo ka walima nahi :hehe:

I guess Holy Smokes is a Hilarious curse/LANAT… Jahannum Ki Aag  Muslims ko aisi ghaleez lanat bhaijne se mana kiya gaya hai I GUESS :cb: agay tuadi marzi tussi jo v kaho te karo… :hypo:

Re: Holy…

So the term ‘Holy Prophet’ while referring to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) means we are calling the Prophet as God. So is the case of Holy Ka’ba and Holy city of Makkah? :hmmm:

Re: Holy…

that girl Molly? She’s into tattoos, and all sorts of other shady activities…she is anything BUT holy

Re: Holy…

Oye Hoyeeeee phir wohi baat :smack:

I am saying that it’s we Muslims who use Holy as sacred.. but Christians ka Imaan kuch aur hai and ye unhi ki zuban aur unhi ki ijaad hai unhi ka vision aur unhi ka culture hai… even they use “Holy mother of GOD” **Nauzubillah ** so ye sab unhi se wabasta hai… mene pehle bhi kuch alfaaz shair kiyeey thay jo hamein hamara Pyare Nabi Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.) ne btaye hein… kyun naa usi ka istemaal kiya jaye

Re: Holy…

baat nikle gi to door talak jae gi…

Just consider Holy= Pak; Otherwise Mushkil kushai, ganj Bukhshi sab ke ooper talwa latke gi and at the end everyone will be saying ‘hamara intention ye nahin wo tha’.

Re: Holy…

Re: Holy…

Muslims got many saints (auliya) with characteristics that are specific to God, but the followers says they are just using them as waseela. If we start interpreting words so strictly, 80%-90% Muslims will get fatwa of Kufr.

Re: Holy…

ji thik

Re: Holy…

so…what’s the conclusion here?
what does Holy mean and what does Jesus mean?

Damn, this thread is a holy mess

Re: Holy…

I don’t know about that but I recently blurted out “Jesus!” here in KSA in the presence of some non-Muslim and Muslim people. It was a very awkward moment. :hehe:

Re: Holy…
