on a serious note, since no one has contributed anything positive, i,d like to put my theory forward on why it might happen.
Your gait. A lot has to do with the way you walk... if ur overweight (or even when ur not sometimes), the inside of ur thighs constantly rub against each other while ur walking,,, and that naturally means more friction there, and hance the rips in weird areas. Then there are other factors like the quality, the size of the pants/jeans, and the frequency of use.
