Re: History of GS
Thanks @Muzna for mentioning this link which is highlighting all about GS history. I read every post of it and then every post of all the internal links mentioned in different posts and honestly its sensational to find how the GS has come thru all the way from origin and how much effort everyone especially @azkar has put in there. So a big THANK YOU for that.
The link of houston chronicles mentioned in post#21 and Azkar’s views in there is pretty cool.
However i just wonder where are all these people, well most of them, who were there from begining why they dont show up anymore?!! I’m glad atleast we’ve Muzna and Ehsan bhai, TLK around but it’ll be super cool if anyone who was in the Flagship still come around.
Next year, 2016, we can celebrate 20th anniversary of GS ![]()
Re: History of GS

Re: History of GS
Definitely GS has come a long way. And it’s served as a virtual meeting ground for Pakistanis, which is pretty unique, because there are cities upon cities of expats that have no local Pakistani association or group to join, in real life.
I’ve always advocated that we need to branch out, and advertise on different websites, and promote ourselves at events and conferences. It’s a hidden gem, and maybe Azkar wants to keep it that way. Less worry of crazy people taking it over or for example, extremists taking over to use it as a communication portal.

Re: History of GS
Read a few posts of this and one other thread…and as much as it pains me to say these words..:p…I am still gonna…“This is actually a nice forum..except for three people I genuinely judge…like the smileis..like the set up…and most of it…:p”
And..now…appreciate Azkar…didn’t knew…that…
And…if I had been a Pakistani..I am sure would have liked it more…
(Waise doesn’t pains me…:p)
Re: History of GS
Azkar and I don’t dislike each other, but are close friends. Back in irc days we had a rivalry of sorts and picked on each other, later realized that our strengths and weaknesses complemented each other’s and we can make a great team.
