Quetta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quetta is also spelled Kuwatah which is a variation of Kot, a Pashto word meaning “fortress.”[SUP][4]](Quetta - Wikipedia)[/SUP] It is believed the city’s name is derived from the four imposing hills (Chiltan, Takatu, Zarghoonand Murdaar) that surround the city and form a natural bulwark.
