Mr Nehru suggested Pamela Mountbatten ( teenager daughter of Lord Mountbatten) to walk putting her high heels in hands to make her way to tribune for flag raising ceremony. When she hesitated, he suggested walk on crowd with her high heels. The girl had to opt first option.
