This very cool! The Vasa was a Swedish warship that sank in the early 1600s. It was salvaged intact 300 years later and is on display at the Vasa Museum. -The Vasa Museum

While in the motorcade of the Inaugural Parade, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter exited their car to walk the route to the White House. Only the Secret Service had been notified of Carterās decision to break with tradition, and at first, parade viewers thought the car had broken down.
