Re: Historical Blunders
The cabinet mission plan of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was the best deal, he guaranteed provincial autonomy to every province but the statement of Nehru that in future if need arise congress can change the plan, Jinnah agreed to cabinet mission plan in principle but nehru’s reaction aroused his suspicion and rest is history.
People of undivided India were not ready for partition nor they ever took demand of Pakistan very seriously, for majority of people Pakistan was bargaining tool of Jinnah to get rights of Muslims. The massacre of Punjab divided people so much that in rest of years in Indo-Pak war one set of Punjabis fought another set of Punjabees with zeal:D, in fact the communal problem that could have been solved got compounded after creation of Pakistan that both major communities started living in antipathy and mutual hatred:(, though creation of Pakistan brought peace in both Punjab and antipathy everywhere else in India:), but politics is unique thing Bhidranwale expected Pakistan’s support in creation of Khalistan:D
