A religion makes us Human.
CIVIL LAWS will bring progress "does it mean you are allowed to kill innocent people in Kashmir so that you can put indian flag on the buildings?"
Less Emphasize on religion as people don't have a religion to see if there life is been lived according to the rules.

what you call "progress" has brought "mechanical" life for "human being" and you can see frustration in their life, you can see how corrupt morally/socially they are... look at the sexuality they resort to in order to 'releif' or 'relax' from stressful life of 'progress' and 'development'.
