Sorry Deedawar - it must be so upsetting for you to hear that Hindus/Indians dont have any excuse for the Gujarat incidents.
And BTW, when we say India is secular country - we realise it is not perfectly secular - but it is the goal - we do try. meanwhile there will be sections of Hindus etc who will be non-secular and do/say things which one is ashamed of. We hope and are trying to be secular - and yes - at large we certainly are secular - else if Hindus were uniformly so non-secular the 12odd percent of muslims would have all got exterminated I guess. This is again no attempt at giving an excuse - just saying that there is a large chunk among us who are secular and non-fundamentalists - just as I believe is the case with Pakistanis(at least the non-fundamentalist part)
And one more reason why intent is questioned - here is a case where the guilty ones have been arrested, dealt with and the victims families have been given some compensation(not that it will anyway compensate their loss) - BUT - you choose to so conveniently ignore this aspect - (unlike reminding all the time of how Modi stlll lives a free man)
Sirjee, there were enough remorse and condmenation on this thread. Mod cleaned up as much as 15 posts. Just because the thread wasn't going in the way of abuses for Hindus ... So we can keep remorsing and mods will keep cleaning up the posts.....

There are extremists in every group. What's happening in one place could well happen in another as well. And when someone tells you that X country is tolerant...they mean it for the majority population wise, and they mean that justice there is swift too. They dun try to tell you that each and every person is tolerant cos that's not possible.

Even if this act is labeled terrorism, what position does that place Muslims in? Hindus are not running around the globe blowing up planes, trains, busses, night clubs, committing homicide bombings, and beheadings from one end of the globe to the other in the name of Hinduism.
