These warnings are just so the intelligence community, and the government in general, can have ex post facto alibis. It is an "I told you so" in advance, just in case something does happen. That and a funding push. You know it takes some serious cash to have people devoted to such a huge and inane system... "We need more."
Anyway, you can almost guarantee there will not be a major attack before the war starts. After that...
no spoon.. the likelihood is that there will be an attack. and like previous attacks the masterminds behind it are not sitting in a cave in Afghanistan..
Right after the attack the Patriot Act II will be passed (again without any review like it's predecessor) and then possibly the war cuz the dissenters would then be arrested and charged with treason.
OK It's the big day (Eid)! Everyone can breathe now. So tell me, how many cities were wiped out from chemical/biological mega/nuclear weapons today? What was this high terror alert about again?
Wait, the day's not done yet. There's still hope! Cool.

Waisey, ever wondered from where all these intelligence agencies get such "accurate" information that corresponds so beautifully to each others' sources and theories?
Authorities in NYC have shut down th eWhitestone Bridge for 30 mins now. Stopped a truck and all roads into NYC are closed.
Have fun with your conspiracy theories. Maybe it's one of the 4000 jews missing. The threat is real and here. I for one am glad we are treating it much seriousness.

what's more beautiful is they get enough information to scare the public into an 'alert' but not remotely enough to ever prevent anything..
yes utd.. i have one very horrible event of planes crashing into the world trade center and the agencies which gobble up billions didn't move a muscle till it was all over.. forget NORAD, forget the warnings they had, forget the knowledge of all the hijacker's presence and activities.. they just sat on it.
and then they were 'punished' by a budget increase.
All that extra money did for them was to enable them to create 'alerts' for the public.. sort of 'disclaimers'.
Whatever the hell would a man on the street do with these?? it's THEIR job to protect.. not the public to forever remain in a state of fear.
utd, can u tell me why Ossie hasn’t been caught yet? Within hours of the WTC collapse, the feds had pinpointed the culprits, they were able to even find out the exact make, model and rental car company for the hijacker’s cars .. but it’s been years now, and they seem to have no clue on Osama’s whereabouts, and no plan of apprehending him. How come?
Wait, don’t tell me. The Bush administration is working on it, rite?

PA and Ana do you have any information that would back up your claims or just spewing whatever comes out?
[/QUOTE]
BTW, I don't spew. That kind of language doesn't suit a lady.
U still haven't answered my direct question... which city/town/ ten by seven plot of land got wiped out today because of terrorism linked to Al Kayda and/or Iraq and/or Saudi Arabia and/or Palestine, as stated in the fear manifesto outlined by Mossad above?
PA you’re certainly right that there were failures on behalf of the intel. agencies before 9/11 due to lack of communication between departments. While it would be nice for some to believe that the U.S. is all knowing the fact is they are not, Hence airplane hijackings, the Beirut bombing, the OK city bombing, the WTC bombing, 9/11 attacks, among others. Since 9/11 I'm sure certain threats are assessed differently than before. As I said before issuing these threat-alerts is easier than contacting every private industry that should take additional steps in security, not only that, if you issue these alerts to law enforcement alone word will get out and the public would demand what is going on and possible create panic, this eliminates that for the most part.
Eid used to be fun time. Now atleast in USA, Eid = 'Bad Moslem Terrorsts are planning to kill us. So dont go out. be watchful'. I am sure this will happean every year now onwards.

Your comments unfortunately are true in certain parts of the country. I don't think this will necessary be true in the future if Muslims take additional steps in getting involved in their communities even more so than they do now. Interaction with others will show Muslims shouldn't be feared any more or less than any other group. Ignorance can breed fear and hate, hopefully there are those willing to confront this.
Well "Bad muslim terrorists" are looking to harm us. That is a fact. Not all muslims, but the "Bad muslim terrorists". Did they catch that guy yet whose picture was thrown about last week?
Was the OK city bomber a "bad muslim terrorist"? How come everyone was so quick to strip-search us then, huh?
The US needs to look at the problems inside its borders with its own citizens first, before going out to frame other countries' citizens for this nation's own wilful wrongdoings.
