Re: hi

Just curious are u gonna be marrying pakistani dude?? :P

Re: hi

In a good way or a bad way?

Re: hi

Yes :P
Do you know anyone who went all the trouble to go to Karachi and have a wedding there that wasn't marrying a Pakistani?

both I guess?

Re: hi

Yeah many and all of them were mostly Japanese...They had so much fun there and their inlwas were their guide for everything!

Re: hi

wow really?
strange.
Japanese are known for their xenophobia but I guess everybody has their quirks.

I wouldn't go to all the trouble if I just wanted a themed wedding. From the looks of its going to be an expensive wedding.

Re: hi

Not all designers have bad attitudes. Many of them are very friendly and down to earth, but there are some who do have attitudes (Nomi Ansari is one in Karachi who has a BIG attitude!). Its just like an other country, and any other set of designers, you are going to meet both.

But like many people have said, if you have a larger budget ($1500 and up), your best bet would be a designer. They have outfits ready for you to see, you get one-on-one attention, they speak english, they will change things according to your taste and budget, and you can be assured you will get what you ordered.

Good Luck with everything!!!

Re: hi

^ i agree. i wouldn't judge the designer experience based on a few reviews. there are plenty of good, professional designers in pakistan who will be happy to collaborate on your wedding outfit with you.

Re: hi

But the big name designers are gonna cost you $3000+.

Re: hi

oh I wasn't saying that they were bad >_<
I was just put off by what I read and I generally don't like a bad attitude from people when I'm paying for their service. That can range from waitresses to even teachers. I just have a certain expectation.
but anyway thanks everybody :)

I'm a bit shocked at how expensive it might turn out though.. and this is just the dress
Is it expensive to use a hotel hall? or would it be cheaper to do it outdoors?
also how are they different? or is there any difference?
sorry for so many questions >_<

Re: hi

^ By the way, it is important to note that unlike in Western culture, in desi culture the bridal dress is worn again, usually to close family weddings.

Re: hi

yes I read that somewhere but considering all the close relatives are married I don't think I'll be wearing it again lol.
