you know who he was? he was an Indian :o his real name was Billi-Raam Shaikh’s Peer (as in Peer sahib). He was a top classic play writer in British rule. Gora Log had some difficulty with his name so they started Calling him Mr Shakespere, and BilliRaam became William. :o
