No the fact is that they are innaccurate and Hezbollah was incompetent in their use. They have caused massive casualties in the past when used by more efficient armies.
Just because Hezbollah could not use them effectively does not make the firing of thousands of them into Israel any less morally acceptable.

Concievably so have swords. And smart bombs have arguably been used in a way that massive civilian casualties werent the only indisputable outcome.
The criminality of a munition and war depends on its use, not on whatever legalistic jargon you choose to wrap it in. Their “unguided” missiles caused 47 or 37 or whatever casualties against a 4000 fired, a very low mortality rate. There were measures that the city populace could adopt to protect themselves against the rockets, and most killed were those who “got tired” and wanted a walk. Israel’s “guided” “intentional” “smart” missiles caused 800-1000 civilian casualties, from which they could do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to protect themselves.
You tell me whether it makes a difference to the thousands dead whether a “smart bomb” killed them or a katyusha.

Hizbullah started to use these rockets AFTER Israel started to bomb their country...it was Israel who started this "war". as soon as they stopped it, Hezbullah stopped also...
most of israelis in the area knew about the bombs and were in shelter..hezbullah knew it also and they knew their bombs wouldnt kill many people but the point was not to kill as many civilians rather to show israelis that even with all the bombing, they can't stop hizbullah's rockets.

Because I think the only thing that prevented far more Israeli casualties was bad luck. Despite your laughter, I believe that the Israelis take reasonable caution to aim at "military" targets. Each Kaytusha could have killed ten or twenty times as many people at any given moment. If the Hizbullah had there way, thousands more would have been killed. That is their intent.
Beyond that, Olmert made public statements at the opening of the conflict that he sincerely regreted the casualties of Qana. When Nasrallah the Cleric/Warlord spoke, he apologized to Arab Israelis that were inadvertantly killed by his rockets, and kindly assured them they were martyrs.
Sometimes words matter, sometimes they don't. Nasrallah-the-Warlord made clear at that point he did not care a whit about Israeli women and children and he had no hesitation about killing them. Pure Hate. Clearly a man of God.

By Israeli standards, they didn't accomplish everything they wanted which was the total annihilation of Hezbollah. If if gives you great pride that they only lost about 1/4 of their fighters and weapons in one month, then bully for you. You'd make a great Royals fan.
How is an armed militia outside the control of the government legit? If Lashkar-e-Toiba was armed by Iran and fired thousands of rockets into India, I assume that would be legit too?
I suppose if the Minutemen on the US border were armed and supported by the local population and the government of Canada and iniated a conflict with Mexico they would be legit.

dont get twisted seminole. Its legit because the lebanese gov. has no qualms with it. they find it coopertive and dont have any plans to disband it. how could they, the only organisation (as its not just a militia) that stopped lebanon from becoming another palestine, i think they'd wanna keep seyed nasrallah in the trophy cabinet. even walid jumblatt the biggest critic of syria and iran agreed that they have no qualms with hezbullah, and fully support them. All thanks to israel.

The Lebanese government is in fear of it's life.
They had 6 years of virtual occupation by Syria after the Israeli's left. (Funny how this never comes up in conversation eh?). Their former PM was assasinated in a huge explosion in the middle of their capital city by Syria, and the Lebanese Army is dwarfed by a heavily armed foreign financed Warlord led Militia, who apparently has the ability to go to war on behalf of the whole country. Speaking out against Syria or Hizbullah is really bad for your health.
Let's not say that the Lebanese have "no qualms".
