Godse and his group believed Gandhi was responsible for partition. It can also be viewed as he was partial to Muslims.
Godse was sentenced to death for Gandhi’s assassination.
Indian history books portray Godse as a villain, although there a some people (especially in his home state of Maharashtra) who do idolize him.
