Re: Here we go again...
^ Ofcourse there are ways to resist US right now. Any country that is threatened needs to have these three (1) the firepower , (2) the ability to deliver that firepower and (3) ability to protect that firepower. More than conventional military, its the missile technology and the airforce/navy that dictates whether a military confrontation will take place or not.
If Iran is able to protect its airspace, and destroy any attempts to naval blockade, then it is very difficult for US to convince either US people or the world about any additional military adventures in the Middle East. Especially the people in the US are extremely jaded with the US military invasion of Iraq, and many are unsure if they even remember why the US troops were sent to Iraq, in the first place.
The WMD mantra is extremely hypocritical for the US to keep harping on. US has the largest collection of WMD's in the world. For it to cry that "this country should not be allowed to have WMD" or "that country should be sanctioned for WMD" is laughable. To add that US military planners are considering more targetted and mobile nuclear bombs is another evidence that US is likely to be the only country using nuclear weapons, either in the past or in the future. If anything, US should be stripped of its nuclear arsenal. But lets not digress. Coming back to Iran, if their missiles are really effective, and they can keep those missiles protected, then military strikes or naval blocade (to enforce any kind of sanctions) will be very difficult for US or its *chamchay *allies.
