Henna Application

Thanks all for the info. This type of exchange helps us to understand, in our own way, the concepts behind permissions and restrictions in Islam.

Personally I would conclude that there is no "gunnah" or "sin" in applying henna to a groom's hair, fingernails or, as in the case in question, the baby finger, during the wedding celebrations. It is not related to any superstition nor does it serve the purpose of deceit.

Others may have interpretted differently.

Ibrahim says; Yes what applies for man also applies for woman, when it comes to practicing deceit.

And what about if the original color of the hair was blonde, or red ... would black be allowed then?

Ibrahim says: When you understand what that hadith conveys in principal , it should be obvious, you should not use the natural color ( blonde, red, green J, black or whatever to turn your white hairs back into those natural hair colors , a shade of it is what is allowed , thus clearly conveying you have aged and you are using dyes to color your hair.

Ibrahim,

Just to clear out my misunderstanding. Please do let me know if you believe the same about women?

You don't have to explain it, unless if you want to.
