and for the shadi, i did my own makeup and hair (which wasnt too great but…)…on the wedding, the bride shoudl look the best and be the centre of attention..which is why i toned it down on the wedding day…

Hmmm… no matter how much you dress up, and look good, i don’t think u can ever upstage the bride..for my devars wedding i plan on wearing my own lengha..getting my makeup/hair professionally done but bride will still look like bride, noone will mistake me for her

^^ About ten years ago, I went to a wedding in England. A new bride was there wearing her wedding lehnga and jewelry. The videographer thought she was the bride and spent the first hour of the party taping her! It wasn't until some relative of the bride noticed that he realized his mistake.

Hmmmmm, i kinda think the fashions were wayyyyy different 10 years ago, at least when I look at pix and stuff…b ut unless she was wearing her duputta on her head and sitting on the stage like a statue, i fail to c how anyone else cud’ve’ msitaken her for hte dulhan… I think the photographer was dumb for not realizing that? or she was for wearing the duputta on her head?
