I wouldnt do a red lipstick, pick a good nude one. I have this one from YSL wich i like alot. i also used this lipstick with a purple smokey eye

Why not try a pink toned lip colour? You could do gold/ beige eyes with purply edges.

I wear pink lipstick a lot - I wanted to try something else. But with red I am always afraid about the other makeup not looking as good thats why never tried it but this time i so wanted to and I did and it looked really hot :D.
