Re: Heavy kaamdani shirts in Lahore

I know how to do kaamdani not only the simple one but the heavier one also, I made some shirts in pakistan using the wooden structure called adda. I don’t have it here in US but I think I can use the wooden hoop used for embroidery. Oh man I was such a creative person back then, I made a shirt with sequence and beads on it, made a baby pink shirt filled with silver gota work on it, made a waist coat jacket filled with mirrors which weighed like 5 kg :cb:
I think I should start doing that again, it eases my mind a lot.

Re: Heavy kaamdani shirts in Lahore

How much are you guys willing to pay for a heavy chikankaari shirt with kamdaani work all over it? Because chikankaari IS very expensive.

Re: Heavy kaamdani shirts in Lahore

Salam everyone,
I’m so surprised at everyone saying that mukesh is expensive.
About 4 months ago, I got a shirt made (inspired but bunto) with the mukesh work done in vertical lines all along the shirt. It wasn’t this heavy but not light either and without the cloth and dyeing, the man quoted 4K to me, after some bargaining, we ended up paying 3k. He has a small little stall in Kehkashan, in Clifton Khi. Hope this helps.
