Re: Heavy chested girls...???
Laffin my ass off!!
Jimmy K u do make me laugh :)
Hi Girlies..Im gettn married next yr jus wondering what u guys think about what lehenga top would suit me as I'm heavy chested.. I've been told heavy chested girls shouldn't wear tops with alot of kaam and should keep them short..I wnted to wear a quite long kurta top with lehenga and have a quite simple skirt with a heavy top..? Anyways any advice would be appreciated :)
Thanks girls xxx
i think u shud go the other way round and hav heavy kaam on ur lehnga and dupatta and less kaam on ur top
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
Really..aaaah girls ur confusing me now lol
Think I might hav to head down to Birmingham and London and try some on and see wht looks best..haina?
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
I got married this summer and I also had/ still have this issue... The key is NOT to have a high neckline... I had a scoop neckline and it minimized my bust. Also as mentioned above, a deeper V or U type neckline would also be flattering. I had lots of kam on my shirt and I don't think that made much of a difference in making my bust look bigger/smaller.
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
try U necklike and choice ur fabric material very light it helps u minimize ur heavy parts...
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
i actually had a question about something similiar. i need to know what style of kaam should and shouldn't a girl with a heavy chest wear?
Re: Heavy chested girls…???
from experience, i can definitely say a short top will draw attention to your chest, so definitely discard that advice. keep it mid thigh, if you can and you can have high chaakein on either side if you prefer. it looks really good and helps the fitting, especially around your waist.
don’t have an outright square neckline- its not flattering- i’m big on top as well and i need a scoop, or a square neckline that morphs into a V.
and go for a fabric that has a bit of weight and fits and flows well- if its too light, the shirt isn’t going to be able to hold its shape- mine was very fine silk and it kept sort of lifting up from the front- not cool. fit is very important here.
as far as kaam is concerned, you could have a heavier kaam wala bottom and dupatta and keep your top simple, but i found in mine, the neckline kaam should have had more emphasis because otherwise its too obvious that you’re trying to disguise it.
and of course, go for a pro bra fitting- nothing ruins the overall look more than having an ill-fitting bra that doesn’t support you properly! and remember your posture- sit up straight, don’t hunch inwards.
this neckline worked really well for me (i had this gharara made for mehendi) -

see how this shorter neckline emphasizes her chest? this is a no-no if you have a big chest-

a square with rounded edges like the shirts below will work, but not one with sharp edges-

You shud def opt for a longer shirt..perhaps one that falls below u're hips..u're top shud be a lighter color and have the bottom dark!

Re: Heavy chested girls...???
lets stick to the topic at hand please.
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
LONG shirt, girl!
mid-thigh is best.
kaam only around the neckline, chaak and daaman not on full bust
Re: Heavy chested girls...???
Okay, Im looking around for lehngas myself right now and I have the same problem!!!
Ive noticed while trying things on that short shirts actually emphasize upper body especially if you have a big chest.
Round necks that are too close to the neck make your chest stand out...avoid them.
V-necks and square necks with a long shirt elongates the figure. The shirt should not have too much work on it...majority of the kaam should be on the lehnga itself and dupatta!
Hope this helps!

Re: Heavy chested girls...???
i remember some pics were posted in bridal thread a while ago.. the girl looked okay on her mehndi but shaadi day, all you could see was her chest due to the heavy, heavy kaam on the bust area. and it looked weird because comparitively her face and rest of the figure were not even that chubby.
somehow I think a short short would make your torso look shorter and heavy parts look heavier. I think you should go with a normal or longer shirt if it goes with ur lehnga or whatever you plan to wear.
Agreed. Try to get a shirt not above the hip bones, infact couple inches below it. And simple shirt would look much better than heavy one.
