Hazrat Yazid: Did the muslims gave oath of allegiance to him or he was nominated ?

dude no one is passing judgement . Judgement is only in the hand of Allah SWT. We are nobody to pass judgements on any human being on this planet earth. Your posts show how much you hate 12 ers but where will this hatred lead us to? I respect every individual of pakistan so what if they are shias qadyanis or from any school of thought. This is wat our quaid azam said and i would like everypakistani to follow that.

allah na karay aisa ho .......... neither i hate hazrat ali nor the hazrat abu bakar & umer.

specially hazrat abu bakar is my favourite personlity ......... after prophet i love him the most coz of his sacrifices and services for islam. hussain heikal (egyptian writer) has written a very good book about him ........ its translation in urdu is also available ........ if u havent read that book do read it.

i m not nasibi .......... even i havent heard of this term untill recently.

by the way who is ur sheikh ...... wud u like to share ......... i m eager to know that.

Re: Hazrat Yazid: Did the muslims gave oath of allegiance to him or he was nominated

....i am concerned since u fault son of abu bakr siddiq , abdur rehman for not giving bayat to yazid

u shud read about the term nasibi and its origin it will do you good maybe ur views will change after that

Re: Hazrat Yazid: Did the muslims gave oath of allegiance to him or he was nominated

Maverick, such glaring faults in conclusion you draw from the two Hadith. It just shows that you have been ifluenced by people who try to justify Yazid's Bayat for whatever means. All what the two traditions show is the "opinion" of Abdullah Bin Omar that Yazid's Baiyat was binding. This is in contrast to opinion of Abdul Rahman bin Abu Bakr who felt that it was not. None of these opinion is binding upon us. If you really want to prove that his Baiyat was legal then we have to look at:

  • what are Islams condition for Baiyat of a Khalifa
  • how the 4 Khulafa-e-Rashideen act upon this matter
  • what are the condition in which Baiyat can be broken

From what i have read, no clear rules are set by Islam in matter of chosing and deposing a ruler.
