Always used to walk from the union station to college, even in bad weather sigh took me about 15-25 mins depending on my speed and walking mood

one of the longest walks (in every sense of the word) for me was way back in the early 90's. Karachi was burning, riots and shooting out in the streets. I was coming back from work in the SITE area and there was no transport available. The only exits from the SITE area were blocked with gunshots all over the place and tires burning everywhere.
Took me about 2 hours to get home, walking through that hell, trying to dodge angry crowds, hiding behind walls and garbage cans, and I have no shame in admitting that I nearly ***** in my pants, more than once with people throwing rocks at me and chasing me, and a gunshot that nearly grazed my skull.

Ohhh boiiii…i should never have come across this thread…i can feel my feet aching all over again
So it was a summer evening…and i had to visit a college for my orientation and just to check it out and see how it is and everything…
It was about 35 mins drive from home…so mi daddy dropped me off with a chance of pickin me up, otherwise i could just take the cab home. Fair Enuff…
all went well…i came outta the place in a happy mood cuz i was alllll set to enroll the following week. So i call my dad to see if i’m gettin a ride back…No Can’t Do, he says!
So i wave to one cab and ask if he’s goin in the direction i wanna travel…he’s sittin there doing this ---->:hmmm:for literally like a minute…so i’m like ‘Excuse me..are you going or not’ he’s like ‘Well…it iz like thees…this is a very very good trip, i tell you, but i cannot go that direction, downtown more busy’ (jack***)
So i wait a few mins…and start strolling along to the main boulevard…here comes another cab..i wave this one and the guy says ‘sorry’…tried a few cabs…i was tempted to check my skin color to see why i’m not gettin a ride (hehe…no offense..it’s tru though)…sooo i just started walkin and walkin and walkin…and after a lengthy trip of 3.5hrs w/out intervals i finally reached home with a huge bag of catalogs, etc…in one hand and a bottle of cold water in the other…and if u looked closely u could see my finger prints on it…with the intensity i was squeezin it…and cussin my head off while walkin…stupid this…a**wipe that…etc..etc… 
i couldn’t walk for another day or so…

well the mosque wasn’t far. it was hardly about 50 meters, so it wasn’t that bad.. 
BUT my new shoes… 
JhunJhunaiWali:- they were new, I was about 10 11, and my mom did ask me to wear old shoes when I was going for eid prayers, but Nooo barda SHOUNQ tha new shoes pehNai ka..

u should’ve recycled the deed…someone took urs…so u take someone else…everyone will eventually walk home in a pair…even if its not ur own

aray hum toh rozana hi by foot ghar jatay hain, albatta bachpan mein zaroor valid sahab qibla ya valida mohtarma ki gaud mein barajmaan ghar jatay thay.
i walk to home everyday, somtimes its just from garage to the door, sometimes its from bus stop to home.
oh oh sorry, a number of times i just skated home and did nto take skates off until I was indoors.
