PA, in olden days, newspapers will ivestigate a story for days or weeks, write it up, editor will edit it..someone will re-read it and approve it…hence it will be a news..in TV and Internet era, there is no time for that…you don’t hear the whole news at once at the end of the event but you hear and see the pieces of news as it is happening…you not only experience what a reader supposed to experience but also what a reporter experiences while investigating and reporting - ups and downs, twists in the story, wrong leads, mistaken witnesses etc etc… so be patient to know the whole story.
How this happened, who exactly did what, will not be known to great accuracy until the whole investigatoin is done but
few things that jumped out very quickly and probably bother you more than the actual event are:

media and majority of the people(in west and even in the East) thought/suspected/accused it is a work of Jihadis

another smaller majority out of above guessed/suspected it has to be Pakistanis or some Pakistan link (even people in places like Lahore suspected it was probably Pakistanis…much before Brits accused or named anyone)
I have seen you and many other Pakistani friends defending against the above accusations from day 1 of the event…and you have the right to do so but truth is majority of the people who suspected it to be so were right. why? their suspicion was not based ONLY on hatred of Islamists…it was based on a trend abserved in the past. They could have been wrong, and we could have found later that it was actually the work of Tibetian freedom fighter trained in a remote Island of Australia called Teeko-Teeko but what was the probability of happening that knowing what we know what is happening around the world?
