Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
Stoppit,
what are you using at night to moisturize, thanks.
I don't always moisturise at night. Just cleanse and tone. I used to just use my regular day moisturiser. Since I have had rosehip oil, I use that along with the marine collagen moisturiser.

Both RHO and Marine Collagen Moisturizer? In which order? and thanks.

Rosehip Oil first. The Marine Collagen moisturiser was from that site I linked too. It had good reviews and I was curious to try it since everything else I had bought works so well. I think most of it is down to the rosehip oil, I only added the moisturiser to my routine more recently. I think its main effect is plumping the skin.
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
Well i use it as part of my routine in the morning - first toner, then idealist serum, then moisteriser/sunblock
but yeah, you just pump a bit on your fingers and smooth it onto your skin, cos its quite fine it seeps into your skin quite quickly
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
It's recommended for acne scars and it doesn't clog pores. Most people I have recommended it to have acne and it hasn't made it worse and has helped fade blemishes. All products should be kept off inflamed acne.
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
im going to give the rosehip thingy a try too just coz its a lot cheaper but for anyone wanting to try the estee lauder one its brilliant! it does actually make a difference really quickly - they guarantee at the counter that if you dont see a difference in two weeks they'll refund you
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
apple blossom - yes you can. I don't have acne but it's made my skin so smooth and even toned.
I would recommend anyone using it to use it with the witch hazel as described on the previous page. I've gifted both to a lot of people recently and have had good feedback.
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder’s Idealist even skintone illuminator?
I only use the gel if I have a spot (or if I burn my fingers), or after electrolysis when I used to have that. It’s good for after waxing/threading too.
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
Stoppit hun, what did u think ofthe marine cream? I'm about to place an order but just wanted your opinion before i did so. I currently use the elemis pro collagen marine cream but its costing a small fortune, its a gorgeous cream but i'm not sure its worth the money.
thanks,
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
Hi brummie, I really like it. I feel it plumps up the skin. You and I both have oily skin, so I would recommend it as a night moisturiser. It is very light and kind of watery (not in a bad way) but for some reason when I use it in the morning, I find my face gets more oily and quicker. It's not too expensive, so you may want to give it a try.
Whereas I have absolutely no issues using a drop or two of rosehip oil (along with witch hazel) before my day moisturiser and makeup.
Also, please do buy a glass dropper bottle and the right sized glass pipette dropper for the oil, otherwise you will find it difficult to use.
And and atomiser cap for the witch hazel (if you are buying that). So if you are buying 100ml witch hazel bottle, get the 24mm atomiser cap. I usually buy 500ml (since my sister and I both use it) and refill from this, so I bought us 100ml aluminium bottles with atomiser caps to keep on the dresser... it stays cool all year around.

To those who try the oil - do let us know how you got on.
Stoppit - I tried organic cold pressed rosehip oil over a year ago from a local herbalist store, i didn’t persevere though and just assumed that it was one of those wonder products for others sadly not me though. Do you think i was a bit hasty and should’ve persevered, I did try it for over 2 months though…
Re: Has anyone tried Estee lauder's Idealist even skintone illuminator?
I ordered the rosehip oil Stoppit linked after I read this thread, I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and my skin is looking so much better already. I have a lot of discolouration around my mouth and on my cheeks and I can definitely see a difference, I've been using nothing but concealer and tinted moisturiser as of late because I'm loving the way my skin looks without foundation. I'd definitely recommend it. Thanks for the info stoppit.
