Re: Has anyone shopped at Seasons India or any other website? Your experiences plzz!!
I'm attaching the pics of the lengha I want to order for my walima..obviously I'm gonna request a full choli top. What do you guys think?
Love the outfit. Looks like a mermaid.
Not sure how a full choli will look. Long sleeves too? Perhaps you can get them to do the long sleeves in a translucent fabric.......... sort of now you see skin, now you dont. It will add to the aqua, and etherial look.

I havent thought about the sleeves actually...one thing that does concern me is the dupatta - it's fairly simple dont u think not vey bridal - I wonder if they'd do more embroidery on it for me if I requested it.
I'm gonna ditch the conventional gold jewellery and go for costume jewellery, maybe emerald colours. What do u think?

I just got this choker and earrings made in gold with columbian emeralds. Bracelets are next on my agenda! This would look so nice with the first aqua and green outfit!
I am not a big believer in certain colors for mehendi, valima etc so go ahead buck convention and wear what you like for the valima. I personally like the aqua and green outfit.

That's pretty Mograkali, where did u have it made? I wonder if anyone knows if it would be worth asking Seasons India to do more embroidery on the dupatta...dont u think its a bit plain?
Re: Has anyone shopped at Seasons India or any other website? Your experiences plzz!!
If you are wearing the dupatta on your head, it is plain. If you are going to arrange it around your shoulders or use it like a stole, it is just fine.
I am sure seasons can arrange something for extra embroidery. Why don t you ask?
I had the jewllery made in Bombay. I carried the gems with me from here (I have friends in the NYC diamond district who got me pretty decent quality stones). The base was already made. It was just a question of adding the gems.

I don't know if you've heard of Rang Accessories, but a few of their pieces have caught my eye - I saw an emerald/blue choker with matching earrings at a store yesterday and I think I'm going to buy that.
I know I'm going on a bit here, but I wonder what colour my bridesmaids should wear if I'm wearing that colour - I want something that will be contrasting to what I'm wearing...what about pastels?
Re: Has anyone shopped at Seasons India or any other website? Your experiences plzz!!
Pale pastels would be one way to go... but the other bolder way would be... see the purple color at the ends of the dupatta and skirt? You could get a really deep purple color (or a very dark version of the blue) for bridesmaids outfits, with just a little beading or zari. That way the bridal party look is coordinated AND YOU GET TO SHIMMER IN A ETHERIAL SORT OF WAY IN YOUR AQUA GREENBLUE AND PURPLE AND GLITTER BEADING. The darker bridesmaids will be a perfect foil to your brilliance.
Pastel bridesmaids and you in that shimmery dress will not make you stand out as the STAR of the show.
