lastest update is that I called post office to check status of claim and to see if one was ever filed:
turns out that claim was filed on 9/14/11 under Ms. Zahid’s mother’s name and payment is set to go to Ms. Zahid’s mother. My postmaster also submitted claim but since this one reached first …payment will go Ms. Zahid’s mother instead of me unless Ms. Zahid’s mother changes this. So they will collect payment twice and I will be at their mercy to get my money back…
Please tell me what I should do? Can this really be happening to me…
