in 1995, i had 14.4k modem.. speed of downloading was 1.3k/avg
1997 i had 33.6 modem.. avg speed: 3.3, sometimes 3.5k/sec if connection was EXTREMELY good..
1999 i got a 56kmodem, avg speed of 5.2k, and same year i got cable internet, speeds of 250 to 300k/sec..
2001, keeping those speeds at home, i joined college, 2000k/sec
2004, i got cable upgrade: 750k/sec, got hired fulltime and at work: 7000k/sec
^^ on it till today ..
oh . and while u're wondering whats the point? well point is, that after going faster and faster in speeds, u tend to get bored and instantly-available media no longer THRILLS u. .
