Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

I hope the Army chief will now be more sympathetic to similar requests made by our neighbors.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

the body language of Ashraf Ghani seems positive

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

it's in Pakistan interests to stop this differentiation as we'll. the good Taliban of today prove to be a headache down the track.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Agreed Pasha Saahab, it is difficult but not impossible. If this is implemented, this will reduce all types illegal activities from our western border to a very great extent and will make the job of our border forces lot easier. It will increase the border security efficiency three folds.

Build a 20 feet fence along with land mines all along with warning signs in Urdu, Pashto, Farsi and English. Keep three exit and entry points guarded by rangers and Pak army where only those with legit valid doc. are allowed to enter and exit.

Fresh air strikes kill 57 terrorists in Tirah: ISPR - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

PESHAWAR: In the aftermath of deadly Taliban attack on an army-run school in Peshawar, Pakistan’s military launched 20 air strikes including “dynamic targeting” killing 57 terrorists in Khyber Agency’s Tirah Valley, Army spokesman said on Wednesday.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj-Gen Asim Bajwa said in a tweet that the fresh operation was launched after yesterday’s tragic incident, in which at least 145 people mostly school children died.

He said Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, who is back from a swift visit to Kabul, is reviewing the military operation in the militancy-hit tribal area of Pakistan.

Maj-Gen Bajwa added that the operation was ongoing.

During his visit to Kabul earlier today, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Sharif sought handover of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazalullah, who is wanted for terrorism cases in Pakistan.

The army chief shared classified intelligence details with the Afghan officials and revealed to them that the mastermind behind the Peshawar attack, who was from Afghanistan, was giving directions to the terrorists.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Lets hope Afghanistan does not play "show me the proof" game that Pakistan has been playing with India over Hafeez Saeed. Such cowards need to be brought to justice.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Difference between Fazullullah and Hafeez Saeed is that Fazullullah, who is a Pakistani national, and his organization openly admit to the crime. Hafeez Saeed, not an Indian national, denies any involvement, hence the crime needs to be proven. Its ridiculous for anyone to believe that Pakistan should simply hand over a Pakistani national to India based on nothing. Indians would never hand over an Indian national to Pakistan even with evidence, so why should the Pakistanis. Asking for evidence is not an unreasonable request.

But that's a separate matter. You should try not to conflate the issue at hand.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Point taken. How about Dawood Ibrahim then ?

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Then hand him over. No excuse for that one. That's a valid comparison as much as I hate to admit it, but if he is indeed in Pakistan, Pakistan should hand him over.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Pakistan has also handed over many key Afghan Talibans to Afghanistan... Positive actions from Afghan side will be really appreciate.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

I dont think the Afghans can capture him let alone deliver him to Pakistan.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

I wonder if Pakistani general is strong enough to get the person he wants:

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Why is army involved in extradition? Isn't that typically done through the diplomatic corps?

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Pakistan Army is currently conducting operations in tribal areas of Pakistan. Fazlullah is wanted terrorist in Pakistan, and hiding in Afghanistan. If Ashraf Ghani has no problem while visiting GHQ, then why should not our COAS demand extradition?

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

I understand that part. Such requests have no standing in international law and using army to do such frivolous things is not good for their morale. It would be better if they just send in some commandos and snatch the guy...

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Have you ever heard of 'andher nagri chopat raja'?

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

There are two things: first relationship between the two countries and secondly how much control Afghanistan has in its east

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

I like how rahil shareef went to afganistan. I hope they do operation them self and pick up fazlullah them self.

Re: Hand over Fazlullah: Army chief to Afghanistan

How about the depth of your states hatred. I rather be united with Afghans then living in a country where I am either used against Afghanistan, India or in Kashmir, whereas Punjabis can enjoy their life while sucking or blood. It is not about hatred enough is enough get out of my land.
