I don’t think that is true. I mean Konami is releasing MSG on PC, too. Sony doesn’t think that this will hurt their console sales.

MGS belongs to Konami and they only need software sales. Sony does not have any ownership over the MGS series, which is also coming to XBox One by the way. Microsoft on the other hand owns the Halo property and it is one of the few exclusive series that gives people a reason to buy its console.
