Can someone show Quranic verses that talk about 'Zabiha'? The Quran only prohibits 4 things: Carrion (Things that die fo themselves), the flesh of pigs, running blood, and things that are dedicated to other than God or to idols.
I have a prob/question here. In my local food market, they sell "halaal/kosher" chickens and regular chickens. The halaal ones are really expensive (5.99/lb) and they are always pretty gross to deal with - feathers on, head not all the way amputated etc. The NON-halaal ones (like perdue or White gem) are always feather-free and just look cleaner.
Is there THAT much of a difference between a halaal chicken and a NON-halaal chicken? What exactly is the difference? In how it meets its death? Why is the non-halaal one NON-halaal, is it just a prayer thats missing? I dont think they are actually mean in any method of slaughter so if thats the purpose then shouldnt all chickens be ok to eat?
halal meat is very widely available ALLHUMDULILLAH where i live so we eat halal meat at home and go to restaurants that are are certified that they serve halal meat
"Slaughterhouse" is a good book to read for those that eat meat from the regular supermarket. You wont want to eat meat from there ever again, most likely.
I have friends that eat only halal, even when living in a place that has no halal restaurants and some of them dont eat fish either. Mash'Allah.
is kosher the same as halal?
my boss (who is jewish) told me that the kosher process is the same as the halal process... say a prayer when slitting its throat then drain the blood.
I always that that you have to read "ALLAH HO AKBAR" over it to make it halal...
