For example, the statement that 60 years ago they started experimenting with pig fat to make soap, and found that it worked.
The company I work for was originally set up over 150 years ago to use pig fat to make candles and soap. Since pig fat was being used 150 years on an industrial scale to make soap, it makes no sense that someone would start experimenting 60 years ago to see if it is possible.
I wonder what else this "Sheikh Sahab" was making up.
On the other hand, some elements of truth remain. Certain additives can come from animal or vegatable sources, and European law simply needs the chemical and not the source to be identified. E471 was the most common of these.
