Not really surprised Shamraz. In fact, perhaps, it has always been an open secret. But the fact remains that this arrangement has never been acknowledged by the army or the state.
I wonder what stops the army from claiming the credit for settling score with the TTP — you killed our general, we killed your chief. I wonder how heartening it would have been for the rank and file of the army, as well as for the nation, that its military is capable of avenging blood of its men.
Secondly, this policy of ‘track two killings’ leave the nation confused. It also raises questions if the military and the civilian leadership are on the same page or not?
