In response to that buddy all i would say is that getting braids has nothing slutty about it, secondly as long as the girl is within limits i do think she should be allowed to atleast choose how she wants to look. But then again this concept is hard to swallow for a lot of our fellow desis.
It is hard to swallow, because we do not come from the Ghetto. Getting braids and acting like black people is just ridiculous. Do you ever see black people dressing up as muslims (as a fashion statement)? My friend we have a brilliant religion and culture but it seems that parents do not tell their kids about how good we are but rather force religion on to the kids which leads the kids to rebel. Instead of telling the girl not to do stupid blaxx hairstyle the father outright threatened her which caused her to retaliate with even more crappy hair styles.
