i think u should either get ur hair in steps or just get them in V Shape and have some shorter steps in front wot kinda curls r they tite or big ones?
they are big curls and its so hard to shape them as once they are dry they are everywhere.

aik larki thi..u should definitely layer your hair..dont keep it all one length..otherwise itll get really heavy draging down!
