Its a sign of him being a Shaheed (InshaALLAH) as the ones who die as Shuhadaa’ will come to ALLAH (Ta’aala) on the Day of Judgement with their wounds and everything as they are, but the wounds would be smelling of musk.

His wounds will smell like sh1t… Thats the smell of the same stuff that you spout so regularly out your pie hole..
