**In Saheeh Muslim it is narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Islam is built on five (pillars): belief that Allaah is One, establishing regular prayer, paying zakaah, fasting Ramadaan and Hajj.”
“Jibreel (a.s) has inspired to me that no soul will die until it has completed its appointed term and received its provision in full, so fear Allah and do not be desperate in seeking provision, and no one of you should be tempted to seek provision by means of committing sin if it is slow in coming to him, for that which is with Allah can only be attained by obeying Him.“
[Narrated by Abu Umamah and reported by Abu Nu’aym in Al-Hilya, classified as Sahih by Sh. Al Albani]
The Prophet (saw), has said, “Shall I tell you about the one among you whom I love most and the one who will be seated closest to me on the Day of Resurrection?’ The people were silent, so he repeated that [question] two or three times. Then the people said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said, ‘The one among you with the best character.”

**The Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allaah, Blessed and Exalted is He, says, ‘O son of Adam, as long as you call on Me, I shall forgive you of what you have done, and think nothing of it. O son of Adam, even if your sins were to reach up to the clouds in the sky, and then you were to ask for My forgiveness, I would forgive you and think nothing of it. O son of Adam, even if you were to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you were to meet Me after death, not worshipping anything besides Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as the earth.’”
