It is inspired from Mar Adentro. Here is the synopsis:
The verdant green landscape, the magnetic blue waters and the warm bright sunshine of beautiful Goa is home to one of the greatest magicians of his time, Ethan Mascarenhas. Presently hosting a Radio Show that spreads magic and hope and laughter through his irrepressible wit and humor to every listener and caller, it is difficult to imagine that this is a man who has been immobilized with a spinal injury for the last fourteen years of his life.
Ethan is aided through every moment of his present life by the epicenter of his world – his Nurse, Sofia D’Souza. Theirs is a love beautiful in its implicit silence, unwavering in its quiet strength and spirited in their constant verbal sparring.
On the fourteenth anniversary of his accident, Ethan decides to seek control over his own life. He makes a petition to the Court that shocks the world and leaves Sofia in an impasse that challenges their relationship and their love. ^ hmm no because acc to what Ranjaa posted the movie is about euthanasia I guess.
The movie seems interesting but I don't think it will be a hit becuse it does not have masala that a regular hindi cenima goer love.
Sanjay Bhansali makes Aishwaria look good. She looked good in HDDS and Devdas and for what I can tell from the trailer she is looking good in this one too.

A movie that got most of the awards that year in every award show and was ranked #2 in its list of top ten films released in 2008 from across the world by The Charlotte Observer is not a blockbuster than i don't know what is.

LOLZ…blockbuster is a blockbuster…doesn’t matter which TYPE as long as its a blockbuster. And Indian audience matter more than overseas audience.
Oh and by the way, any stupid movie ( like Dabangg ) with no story can become a blockbuster but winning awards is a complete different thing altogether.

Thats what I said...Indian audience matter more than overseas audience and India has declared it a blockbuster at the website link i posted above and the number of awards it received in India AND worldwide. :)
And Aamir Khan is not a true example because jury and people WANT to give him awards which he doesn't want to accept. Thats his own problem. ;) :)
