I agree with mixing up desi & non desi food, so that there are some things are they are familiar and comfortable with and some new things for them to try.

For desi things, samosas and pakorays are usually always a hit with non-desis. Other finger food types, like shami kababs, aloo kabaabs, spring rolls etc are yummy and can be prepared in advance. You can also do a hummus dip with veggies (yes thats not desi :cb:but its still “ethnic” and yummy). For nondesi, here is a recipe for stuffed mushrooms that are so delicious
