You might have to look at things from a different perspective. India has supported the Tibetan cause since a long time. It went out of the way to host the government in exile. The first opportunity Dalai Lama got he jumped onto the Kashmir bandwagon and spoke of the oppression in Kashmir. Now India does not in any way find itself obligated to the tibetal cause..
