Re: Guns
I was in Texas for a grand total of 3 years, and no I never became an actual Texan. I am a south floridian still. And South Florida is not actually the South. It’s not even the USA actually, it’s more like south America, and we don’t have guns, we see people carrying machetes. The only people who have guns here are in the ghetto’s, and cocaine dealers and those types. We don’t have a gun culture. Prior to that, family is from Karachi, and the family has no culture of guns. There are no guns in the houses. We see way too many stupid deaths from this, rather than people actually defending themselves.
Humans evolved. Now there are alarm systems. And by the time you reach for your gun, you’ll probably be dead anyway. More likely, kids are getting harmed than these guns are protecting anyone.
I’d be scared if my husband knew how to use a gun. The guy I spoke to is pretty assertive and likes to argue, a lawyer type (he’s not even in law school yet and is pretty sure he will get in - infinite rolleyes) → so yes, I am afraid this guy will shoot me.
Owning a gun is a different thing then being a psycho. After all that NY TV dude cut off his wife’s head. I suppose it’s easy killing with a gun, but I would still be more concerned with what someone is like versus if they own a gun.
