I know that sounds racist but its a fact.
Ask any pathan fruit vendor, driver, tailor, sec guard, tandoor wala and he will proudly tell you he chased the polio vaccination teams out of his mohallah or beat his wife for letting them vaccinate their child.

It sounds racist because it is. The health workers murdered were also from KP and Pathan trying their best to vaccinate children. Pathans are no more ignorant than the rest of the country.
This story has upset me so much. We already have odds stacked against us as Pakistanis without adding polio to the mix. all I can think of are the children who are going to suffer.

At least 3 in the list above have personally condemned the polio workers. Munawar Hasan would actually appreciate the murderers let alone condemn their act. But in any case, if Imran is above these petty corrupt politicians then the best is expected of him. I am looking for even a simple one line statement from him. And the reason is obvious. He has not condemned Taliban clearly earlier in some other instances.

I can't believe people can call him a messiah who will move Pakistan FORWARD, when he can not even condemn the most RETROGRESSIVE elements threatening the country's present and future.

Is there any responsibility of the government or those who are out of government or never been part of it? Easy way to scape goat others while the problem lies in the governance and how they have dealt with this issue as well as others. What has been the result of the WOT in Pakistan so far? Shifting of terrorists from one place to another??
I really do not understand on how the Taliban are saying that the anti-polio drive is a western plan to destabilize Pakistan. Are the workers foreigners or locals. If these are foreigners they should be immediately be replaced by locals.
If these are locals, people should be educated about the ill-effects of Polio. Also the killing of OBL has heightened the suspicion of the ordinary person against these drives.
I really wish that this madness would stop. Government has a basic responsibility to ensure that these vaccinations are not stopped.

It is RIDICULOUS to expect a person unwilling to even condemn the terrorists to actually go ahead and arrest and punish the same terrorists when in power.

This PPP government, along with many parties wishing to come to power, are in denial of where the problem lies. Terrorism can not be stopped by just killing these terrorists because new ones come up all the time. So the government in country must go to the source or the breeding grounds where they are nurtured.
It is anyone's guess what those breeding grounds are. But no one has the courage to even say it, let alone doing something about it.

In Punjab we still have three options PPP, PMLN and PTI...should we vote for PPP (as they support the WOT)?
For the time being leave all their policies aside, please do let me know what have they done to make the country safer? The party which has not been able to do anything in Karachi, what can be expected from them in the rest of the country?
I have not seen any high ranking official to visit FATA and ask the people living there as to how they could help them in resolving this issue. One thing is for sure the way this war has been fought it has not given the desired results.
