kakee, are you having multiple events? you could also have the guestbook set up at more than one event, so that people who didn't know about it earlier will have a chance to sign later on.
by the way, if you're having a cocktail hour, consider setting it up there, as it gives people something to do.
^ or consider having it at a smaller event, like the mehendi. close family and friends are more likely to outnumber the randoms then anyway, so the people that will matter will all hopefully be able to sign the book.
I attended a wedding yesterday and they had a guestbook which had pictures of the bride and groom from a photoshoot on the left hand pages and then an empty space on the right hand pages for the guests to write down their messages. They left it on a table with this huge A3 sized photo of the couple from their engagement on the wall behind. Before the Nikkah took place someone made an announcement for people to sign it if they wished, so everyone was made aware of where it was and it wasn't forced down anyone's throats either.
for sure! lets plan your wedding on GS (er, like we're already doing :p). yay!
thankies :P

thats cute! I would be too embarrassed to have pictures of myself all over even though its my day. Since its a picture generation I was thinking of getting some polaroid cameras and get younger cousins to walk around and take pictures of people and ask them to write a message on the back of the picture.. but would that be too forceful?
well I won't be close to nearly all my guests but my hubby to be will be and he has a lot of friends that are camera-happy (they take way too many pics) so I guess I can ask them.
