I had parakeets for like 8 years, the last 2 i had to give away because of my mom's asthma...btw, right when you bring parakeets to your home...they'll stand still because they are scared, a tip: touch and pet them so they feel comfortable because its the best time to play with them, they won't bite, but if you just leave them and never play with them, they'll get hostile and bite everytime you try to touch...
