This history of this question goes as this: I was out with friends to this bar/club over the weekend with lots of college chics doing whatever the college chics do. And out of the blue they played this song and it reminded of how during 80's this was played everywhere in Pakistan. I know so many guys who friggin' flunked college only to spend hours and hours everyday playing this song and learning break-dance.
Ok my turn, I heard this song by this geezer whilst out shopping 3 months ago. What is it?
No clues btw :nono:
Sobz, we don’t give rat’s ass. ![]()
I was being sarcastic ![]()
Well, you don’t know sarcasm if it bit you on your kiddie ass. ![]()
Do you wish your name was sarcasm? :p
Yeh, specially since you’re trying so hard to get it on with. ![]()
I don’t think so, ask any kid in Pakistan about their fav. western artist and they’ll say Back Street Boys for sure :k:
SKN, you are right. But Roman grew up in the 60's. Buddhaa ghar pe hay?
fazool thread sorry to say. i was xpecting better.
waslaam
ASN, tera kia khayal hai kay I come to GS for some kind of meaningfulness?
I think 'one way ticket' was played in one more nukkar compared to billie jean. Boney M and Abba were more widely known to all age groups, compared to michael jackson, who was more popular with the teenagers only.
Akif, I knew meri umar ka bhi koi idher lazmi hoga. BTW, dont you guy's remember Europe's "The final countdown" beaten to death by all Pakistani bands. Even Mohammad Ali Sheheki sang it on TV.
One way ticket... in that program 50-50. This dude dancing on a huge tawa. Fudging hilarious.
‘It’s my life’ in the mid 1990s ![]()
huqa paani>
Wasn't that billy jean they played while he was scrubbing the kaRahi? That's why I came up with billy jean too. Maybe I'm mistaken.
for the record:
the title song featured on the program 50-50 with the guy twisting on the tawwa (Ismail Tara, i think) was not "One Way Ticket". It was infact
"I Feel Love" by the disco queen Donna Summers. Listen here

Now since 50-50 was prolly seen all over Pakistan by every bacha, buddha, mard, aurat in every household that had a TV, thus this song in my opinion was the most listened to in Pakistan.
