Re: Guardian Angels
Recently (well.. six months ago which is not so recent) I was driving alone in downtown when my cousin’s car started acting up. I had to immediately pull over to a parking lot near a cafe, desperately hoping someone would help. I was inwardly praying, praying and praying for someone to show up (I can’t get myself to actually ask for help). Didn’t have my phone with me either. I had no other way of getting home. Everyone was in a rush, nobody seemed to notice my struggle of opening the hood (yes, that’s right. I don’t know how to open that). Suddenly I looked to the left, and this middle aged man was seated on the stairs of a garage (later turned out he was the owner of the cafe). I would’ve sworn he wasn’t there five seconds ago! He walked over and asked if I needed any assistance. Thoroughly inspected the issue, and made multiple, back-in-forth rounds to the cafe and the car carrying huge jugs of water. I later came to know that the car was heated up (I’m sure he told me that, but I was too worried to comprehend anything). I guess he was the guardian angel that this thread describes.
This is all I could think of. Other than this, I haven’t quite experienced anything related to safety. I’m obsessed with ayatul kursi, so I definitely have the least to worry about.
Wait, now I’m starting to feel like whatever I wrote has absolutely no relevance to the thread whatsoever. Too bad. I’m posting it before I backspace it all.
For sure it’s very relevant to the thread.
A lot of people can relate to car trouble scenarios which can be such nightmares if you don’t know how to handle the situation.
Any helping hand at that time is like a Godsend.
Question for you - did you try to give him some money on the spot as a token of appreciation and if so what did the guy say / do ?
