That's probably because these were notifications for old likes that got transferred over to the new server.

When I view comments on a blog post from my phone, I am seeing a long programming code for each comment. Viewing it on the computer is fine. It could be the issue with the phone app?

^ phone apps are being rewritten. in the meantime, try to use GS with just phone browser. we have a new GS Metro theme. You may like it more.

keep getting red-colored popups to disable my adblock plus........is this a new feature? It's annoying
