Yes, one has to and can adjust to music. But that requires some effort.

Singing with live musical instruments has some difficulties but still a good music player can adjust to singer. Bottom line, someone has to adjust.

Now some songs are composed for a particular singer only, keeping in mind their style and abilities. And this makes singer’s work easier.
