GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

so should we stick with the updated list or what?

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

Yes....let's stick to the updated list.

We need to keep things consistent. The aid workers must have the assurance that all the boxes, generally, containt the very same sort of items.

And I will be sending out the finalized list for the Ifaat party later today. (Sorry I've been caught up in a number of things right now.)

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

ok
no problem!

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

awesome idea guys for the boxes, a group of friends of mine decided to do a similar thing and we sent around 20 boxes with similar items but we kept it a lot less items per box, our boxes contained the following :

1) Cotton sheets
2) potato chips
3) salty crackers
4) cookies
5) granola bars (added nutrition)
6) Dates
7) Soap
8) 2 bottles of water (1.5 l)
9) Juice boxes

Hopefully this reaches the deserving and not be sold in the pakistani markets like during the tsunami, Allah sab ko apney amaan mein rakhey, Ameen.

The one reason we did not send anything that needed cooking of anysort is because a lot of ppl have still not reached safe grounds and are living on wetlands so its not really possible for them to cook things and we missed out on ORS or Glucose as well as we did not send milk just cuz that there is a chance for milk to get stale or expire and that might cause other health issues, poor ppl have enuf to deal with already.

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

kaun......is there evidence of aid stuff from teh tsunami being sold in pakistani markets?
how did that aid get there?
are you speaking of the earthquake aid perhaps?

Re: GS Iftaar Meet - Toronto

No Muzna Baji, i do not have proof but i heard it from a lot of my friends and family living in pakistan specially in the northern provinces and the azad kashmir side who said that during those times there was an increase in international food products being available in the market at reasonable prices, khair i dont mean to side track or ruin the spirit nor am i accusing anyone, i just prayed that the needy gets the food. We have done a bit and i look forward to do anything and everything in my power to support the pakistanis effected by this disaster. ALLAH sab ko apney amaan mein rakhey, Ameen.
